.. and that's how in my dream, Disrespectoid Kid Sousaphone Simon was partnered with an Ambipom! Come the day, I was pleased with how my dream had turned out. Idly pondering Kingler and Krabby at the beach, I had the makings of another adventure by evening. And come bedtime I was dreaming about another beach and a girl named Mandy. However dreams don't always go as planned. Things got complicated this time. Sandygast is, loosely, a sandcastle Ghost-Ground pokémon that takes control of anyone who puts a hand in its mouth. And so it adds to the accumulation of its sand-mound body. It also feeds on their vitality. But Disrespectoid Kid Sandy Mandy was MADE of sand. And she wanted to 'improve' the sand-mound. She didn't understand about critters from my world! All she achieved was becoming hypnotised and dinner for the Ghost-Ground type. She began to crumble and break up as the pokémon leisurely absorbed her life-essence AND her body, probably the easiest meal it had ever had. Oh

Rhodonite's got a thing for that cartoon movie with the two sisters and the snowman. She has the dancy moves down and everything. She just can't generate ice. She can manipulate sand and shoot molten glass bolts, even manifest a pugil staff - but no snow. Heather Heatmor watches the film with her most. They're both sappy that way, bless them. My house has been visited by Elgyem, Beheeyem, Ultra Beasts, Mobians, Lapidarians - 'Gem Homeworld' - Equestrians, Cybertroni- hang on. TRANSFORMERS, sorry. Not all Transformers come from Cybertron - and Interstellans. Why are there aliens at my house at all? Well, Ash Ketchum brought a Hoopa along one evening. They're the genie pokémon with the gold hoops. We were out in the back, stargazing, and comparing notes on the unusual pokémon we'd met, and Ash said how cool it would be to meet a REAL alien. Sama the Hoopa threw out a hoop and suddenly a robot was on the grass! An alien robot being! He was as startled as we were to be there. I now know he was a Mobian robo-hedgehog named Shard. He still is, and loves a polish and a fuss. They have gold ring portals on Mobius, and Sama's hoop had very similar properties. But that visit was by accident on Shard's part. JAY - pokémon minder, café worker, motorcycle errands and pizza delivery. Often travels with a backpack containing Storage Balls. Storage Balls store objects, Poké Balls store critters. Jay disapproves of Poké Balls. Her Storage Balls contain pizza for delivery, camping equipment or spare clothes. 'Best Wishes' ability causes temporary mutation to physical attributes and/or powers of encountered friendly pokémon, reversed on the correct use of an associated Move. This is one of the reasons Jay took up Minding - poké-fostering - so as to study move-sets and fix any mutations quickly. She also likes critters generally and their well-being is important to her. Hands-on care and confidence in her work such as grooming, trimming, claw-clipping and feeding keeps her calm around them, reducing her chances of mutating.
